  3. Synopsis: Sets autoscaling on axis.

  5. Syntax: autoscale ( "axis", I )

  9.     Sets autoscaling on selected axis in the I:th plot-window. 
  10.     "axis" can be, for example, "x", "xy" or alike.
  11.     
  12.     If 'I' is not specified the default plot-window (0) is used.
